Iran Discovers Unexpectedly High Reserve of Uranium

September 12, 2015 by Daniel

Head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi

Iran is saying that it has discovered an unexpectedly high reserve of uranium, and they will start extracting it at a new facility.

Many thought the country had a relatively low supply and that they would eventually have to start importing uranium for their nuclear programs.

According to Reuters:

“I cannot announce (the level of) Iran’s uranium mine reserves. The important thing is that before aerial prospecting for uranium ores we were not too optimistic, but the new discoveries have made us confident about our reserves,” Iranian nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi was quoted as saying by state news agency IRNA.

This news casts some doubt on the Iran deal that has been so highly debated.

The question now is ‘What’s next?’

What John Kerry said that shocked Glenn Beck

August 14, 2015 by Daniel

Secretary of State John Kerry said something pretty alarming and it left Glenn Beck shocked.

It’s no secret that Obama and many of his cronies want the Iran deal to be the law of the land. And now they are out trying to scare the American public into supporting it as well.

John Kerry said, “That is a recipe very quickly, my friends, businesspeople here, for the American dollar to cease to be the reserve currency of the world – which is already bubbling out there.”

This statement should be alarming to many people.

For many years now, some of us have been giving warning to the workings of other countries wanting to move away from the US dollar. This is one of the reasons, if not the only reason, for the alliance of BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, and China).

When you look at two of the names listed, you should start to wonder.

Russia and China. Plain and simple, they want nothing more than to move away from the dollar. And, they are seeing this as another way to make that happen.

The Obama administration is playing fool and supporting the push to a bad Iran deal.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said we needed to pass Obamacare to find out what’s in it? The same thing is happening with the Iran deal.

A Modern Day Game of Thrones [PODCAST]

March 6, 2015 by Daniel

[powerpress]

In this episode, I discuss the power struggle in the Middle East and how it’s like a modern day Game of Thrones.

chess-on-a-gloabal-scale

Meat & Potatoes

Have you ever played chess? I have and I just don’t get it. It’s like trying to jump into the middle of the season of Game of Thrones and trying to figure out the beginning and the end without really understanding what the heck is going on. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Game of Thrones series. But, in order to figure out the next move on the chessboard we’ve got to try and look at a few things.

In 1789, Richard Price said:

“Another expression of our love to our country is defending it against enemies. These enemies are of two sorts, internal and external; or domestic and foreign. The former are the most dangerous, and they have generally been the most successful. I have just observed, that there is a submission due to the executive officers of government, which is our duty; but you must not forget what I have also observed, that it must not be a blind and slavish submission. Men in power (unless better disposed than is common) are always endeavouring to extend their power. They hate the doctrine, that it is a trust derived from the people, and not a right vested in themselves. For this reason, the tendency of every government is to despotism; and in this the best constituted governments must end, if the people are not vigilant, ready to take alarms, and determined to resist abuses as soon as they begin. This vigilance, therefore, it is our duty to maintain. Whenever it is withdrawn, and a people cease to reason about their rights and to be awake to encroachments, they are in danger of being enslaved, and their servants will soon become their masters.”

How does all this fit into a modern day game of thrones? Well, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint session of Congress and touched on something I don’t think I have heard anyone else say. He made reference to the power struggle in the Middle East between Iran and the Islamic State. To better illustrate his point, I laid out the pieces to a game of chess to more fully understand how complicated this is.

Lost & Found

Billionaire Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen has a love for history. He’s admitted that he’s been infatuated with WWII since he was a kid. So, for the last few years he’s been out trying to find an old sunken Japanese war ship called Musashi. At the time it was considered an engineering marvel due to all the technology they put into it. Well, even with all the technology and armor plating, it couldn’t withstand an estimated 19 torpedoes and 17 bombs that it took to sink it on October 24, 1944.

Who Said That?

One word: Farrakhan. That name gets my blood boiling for some reason. Probably because he is out there spewing hate and vile like this. You’ll just have to have a listen for yourself, because I’ve already given this guy more attention than he deserves.

Power Struggle in Iran Between Khamenei and Ahmadinejad

May 7, 2011 by Daniel

NYTimes | The unprecedented power struggle between the two most powerful leaders in Iran deepened Friday, spilling out into Tehran’s public prayers where the mullah leading the service indirectly criticized President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad while the crowd chanted “Death to opponents of the supreme leader!”

The split started about two weeks ago after the president tried to dismiss the head of the intelligence ministry, the powerful government branch that exerts widespread control over domestic life. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader, ordered that the minister, Heydar Moslehi, keep the post.

Mr. Ahmadinejad then stayed home for 11 days, according to reports from Iran, engaging in a visible fit of pique that threatened to undermine the staunch alliance the two had forged since Mr. Ahmadinejad was first elected president in 2005.

The spat dragged into the open several factional fights, analysts said, particularly the efforts by Mr. Ahmadinejad’s conservative opponents to prevent his faction from dominating the parliamentary elections next March and even the presidential vote in 2013.

Even before the chants at Friday Prayer, a signature event since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, important conservative factions had pronounced their support for the supreme leader, including the government’s primary enforcers, the Revolutionary Guards. Ayatollah Khamenei’s infallibility was the subject of Friday Prayer in at least half a dozen large cities besides Tehran, according to media reports.

“It is quite astounding in a way where on a daily basis people are coming out and saying that Khamenei has the constitutional right and the religious right to do what he wants to do,” said Farideh Farhi, an Iran expert at the University of Hawaii. “Ahmadinejad has effectively lost the support of the base. If you do not have the support of Khamenei, you are nobody.”

Under Iranian law, the president has the right to hire and fire cabinet ministers, Iran experts said. But the supreme leader, as the title suggests, is the nation’s ultimate authority.

Iranian Lawmakers Propose Bill to Criminalize Dog Ownership

April 19, 2011 by Daniel

It looks as if lawmakers in Tehran, capital city of Iran, doesn’t have enough control over it’s people. Thus giving them the idea that they can make ownership of dogs a criminal act. But, it goes deeper than that.

Jihad Watch | Iran: Parliament mulling bill to criminalize dog ownership

The Muslim revulsion for dogs comes from Muhammad: “Ibn Mughaffal reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) ordered killing of the dogs, and then said: What about them, i. e. about other dogs? and then granted concession (to keep) the dog for hunting and the dog for (the security) of the herd, and said: When the dog licks the utensil, wash it seven times, and rub it with earth the eighth time.” — Sahih Muslim 551

And from the Shi’ite side of the divide, which pertains more specifically to this story, here is a contemporary voice — Iraq’s Ayatollah Sistani:

The following ten things are essentially najis [unclean]:1. Urine
2. Faeces
3. Semen
4. Dead body
5. Blood
6. Dog
7. Pig
8. Kafir [unbeliever — i.e., non-Muslims]
9. Alcoholic liquors
10. The sweat of an animal who persistently eats najasat [unclean things].

Sharia Alert from the Islamic Republic of Iran: “The Latest Enemies of Iran: Dogs and Their Owners,” by Azadeh Moaveni in Time Magazine, April 19:

For much of the past decade, the Iranian government has tolerated what it considers a particularly depraved and un-Islamic vice: the keeping of pet dogs.

Iran Still Claiming the Return of Twelfth Imam to Show Soon

April 18, 2011 by Daniel

Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch put out a great read on Iran and their continuing claim of the twelfth imam that will soon make its presence known. – Take the time to read the entire post.

JihadWatch | Rep of Iran’s Supremo says: “The situation in Bahrain alone could be a catalyst for the United States to strike out on their own and cause the downfall of that straw empire”

The Twelfth Imam disappeared over 1100 years ago, and hasn’t been heard from in over 1,050 years. After his disappearance in 874, the Twelfth Imam communicated through three messengers. In his last communiqué to the world, via one of these messengers in the year 941, this mysterious figure consoled his followers with prophesies regarding his eventual reappearance. The circumstances of that reappearance could, in the hands of Iran’s mad mullahs, visit upon the world calamities of a scale never before seen. And Israel and America will bear the brunt.

“Hearts,” warned Mohammad al-Mahdi, the Twelfth Imam, in his last message, “will become inaccessible to compassion. The earth will be filled with tyranny and violence.” He was speaking of the time of his reappearance, explaining that he would only come back to the world when the evil that Muslims were suffering was at its absolute apex. In this he echoed a Shi’ite tradition of the words of the prophet of Islam himself, Muhammad, who prophesied that the Twelfth Imam would be “the Resurrector” and explained: “He will fill the world with peace and justice as today it is filled with violence and tyranny.”

That violence and tyranny is not incidental to the theology of the Twelfth Imam, which has revenge as its core and essence. The dispute between the majority Sunnis and the Shiat Ali (Party of Ali) began upon the death of Muhammad in 632. The Sunnis contended that the prophet of Islam had made no provision for a successor as political, military, and spiritual leader of the Muslim community, and that therefore the Muslims should choose the best man among them as their leader. The nascent Party of Ali, on the contrary, claimed that Muhammad had designated his son-in-law Ali ibn Abi Talib as his successor, and that the successor of Muhammad had to be a member of the prophet’s household.

Iranian Video Warns of Coming Mahdi

March 28, 2011 by Daniel

It is no secret that Iran wants to wipe Israel of the face of the Earth. And, if you want to point to the Bible as your guide, or just want to listen to that sick feeling in your stomach, the idea of erasing a whole nation of people should leave you questioning someones rationale. However, that is what Iran wants. They want Israel gone!

So, what is a ‘Mahdi?’ Some say it is a mythical person. Others, including those who follow Islam, refer to it as an Islamic messiah. Why is this important? It is somewhat of a revelation to followers of Islam. And, with so much turmoil going on in the Middle Eastern area, it offers them even more to look to.

Whether you want to look at this video as pure propoganda, it should still shine a disturbing light your way.

Iranian People Target “Supreme Leader”

February 17, 2011 by Daniel

The Iranian people aren’t neccessarily targeting Ahmadinejad, they are wanting to out the “Supreme Leader.” The Ayatollah Ali Khamenei himself.

The people of Iran are no longer willing to accept Khamenei, and his ruling. They are not just wanting him outed, butare calling for “Death to the Dictator.” Khamenei goes straight to the heart of the Islamic Republic system.

FoxNews reports on what is being said by Iranians:

The Iranian blogosphere is crackling with excitement over the protests. “People are on an incredible high,” said one observer.

Though the protests in Iran Monday were small compared with those that were brutally repressed in 2009, many of the country’s young people feel particularly engaged.

One of those killed in the clashes this week was a 22-year-old student who reportedly had written on his Facebook page before going out to protest, “Almighty God, help me die standing up, rather than lying low in humiliation.” A 26-year-old student also was killed.

According to sources and a friend of the deceased man, there has been enormous pressure by the regime on his family, to the extent that those who want to offer condolences have not been able to visit them.

“If the regime had given a permit for a peaceful demonstration, no one would need to get shot,” wrote Iranian blogger Potkin Azarmehr.

Former Iranian diplomat Mehrdad Khonsari told Fox News, “Call for reform of the system is non-existent. These people want regime change.”

Iran Test-Fires Supersonic Anti-Warship Missile

February 8, 2011 by Daniel

Iran test-fires new missile
Iran has demonstrated its capability to hit a floating target with precision guided, short range ballistic missile of the Fatah 110 (M-600) class. Photo: FARS news agency

Iran successfully test-fired a new surface-to-sea supersonic anti-warship ballistic missile. What they are calling the “Persian Gulf” is claimed to be capable of hitting warships and targets within a 300-kilometre range and has a warhead with 650 kilogram of explosives.

SatNews report:

During an operational demonstration the missile was fired at a target vessel floating in the Persian Gulf, scoring a direct hit. Accordingly, the new missile was named ‘Persian Gulf (Khalij Fars). The missile apparently uses mid-course inertial guidance (INS) and an electro-optical homing seeker to achieve terminal attack precision. Previous versions of the Fateh 110 (also designated M-600 in Syrian use) used a tipped nose, while the current model has a rounded nose presumably housing the guidance kit. As the new version demonstrated in this test, the accuracy of the new missile is far better than the 0.3 percent of the range, attributed for the earlier model of Fateh 110 which relied only on inertial guidance. This type of solid-rocket propelled missile can carry a 450 kg warhead.
