Islamic State

Islamic State Releases New Propaganda Video ‘No Respite’

November 29, 2015 by Daniel

Islamic State propaganda video 'No Respite'

The Islamic State has released a new propaganda video in English titled ‘No Respite.’

Certainly they are targeting the United States with the release considering their taunts of “Bring it on.”

Heavy is reporting that the title, ‘No Respite,’ comes from Quran verse 71:

And recite to them the news of Noah, when he said to his people, “O my people, if my residence and my reminding of the signs of Allah has become burdensome upon you – then I have relied upon Allah . So resolve upon your plan and [call upon] your associates. Then let not your plan be obscure to you. Then carry it out upon me and do not give me respite.

Heavy also reports:

In the video, ISIS mocks the United States’ military tactics in the region and also spotlights racial tensions in the U.S. It shows geographical information of its expanding “caliphate” and comments on the Sykes–Picot Agreement, which split up the lands of the defeated Ottoman Empire after World War I and drew the modern map of the Middle East.

Obama: Climate Summit to be ‘Powerful Rebuke’ to ISIL

November 24, 2015 by Daniel

Obama and Hollande during press conference

Time after time we’ve heard Obama and his administration claim that nothing is a bigger threat to civilization than climate change. On top of that, every single democrat candidate makes the same claim.

Recently, Bernie Sanders tried to justify the terrorist attack in Paris claiming climate change caused a drought and they were all just really upset they couldn’t grow crops.

Seriously? What is wrong with these people?

Truly, liberalism is a mental disorder!

So, to top it off, Obama had a press conference at the White House with French President François Hollande urging Americans to unite against the threat of terrorism.

His proposal?

You guessed it, attend a climate change summit in France.

Obama said, “What a powerful rebuke to the terrorists it will be, when the world stands as one and shows that we will not be deterred from building a better future for our children.”

A ‘powerful rebuke?’

If you ask me… France and Russia dropping hundreds of bombs on ISIS controlled areas is a pretty powerful rebuke.

The Islamic State couldn’t give two craps about climate change, or global cooling, or global warming, or weather for that matter.

They care about one thing: killing anyone who doesn’t agree with them.

A Modern Day Game of Thrones [PODCAST]

March 6, 2015 by Daniel

[powerpress]

In this episode, I discuss the power struggle in the Middle East and how it’s like a modern day Game of Thrones.

chess-on-a-gloabal-scale

Meat & Potatoes

Have you ever played chess? I have and I just don’t get it. It’s like trying to jump into the middle of the season of Game of Thrones and trying to figure out the beginning and the end without really understanding what the heck is going on. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Game of Thrones series. But, in order to figure out the next move on the chessboard we’ve got to try and look at a few things.

In 1789, Richard Price said:

“Another expression of our love to our country is defending it against enemies. These enemies are of two sorts, internal and external; or domestic and foreign. The former are the most dangerous, and they have generally been the most successful. I have just observed, that there is a submission due to the executive officers of government, which is our duty; but you must not forget what I have also observed, that it must not be a blind and slavish submission. Men in power (unless better disposed than is common) are always endeavouring to extend their power. They hate the doctrine, that it is a trust derived from the people, and not a right vested in themselves. For this reason, the tendency of every government is to despotism; and in this the best constituted governments must end, if the people are not vigilant, ready to take alarms, and determined to resist abuses as soon as they begin. This vigilance, therefore, it is our duty to maintain. Whenever it is withdrawn, and a people cease to reason about their rights and to be awake to encroachments, they are in danger of being enslaved, and their servants will soon become their masters.”

How does all this fit into a modern day game of thrones? Well, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint session of Congress and touched on something I don’t think I have heard anyone else say. He made reference to the power struggle in the Middle East between Iran and the Islamic State. To better illustrate his point, I laid out the pieces to a game of chess to more fully understand how complicated this is.

Lost & Found

Billionaire Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen has a love for history. He’s admitted that he’s been infatuated with WWII since he was a kid. So, for the last few years he’s been out trying to find an old sunken Japanese war ship called Musashi. At the time it was considered an engineering marvel due to all the technology they put into it. Well, even with all the technology and armor plating, it couldn’t withstand an estimated 19 torpedoes and 17 bombs that it took to sink it on October 24, 1944.

Who Said That?

One word: Farrakhan. That name gets my blood boiling for some reason. Probably because he is out there spewing hate and vile like this. You’ll just have to have a listen for yourself, because I’ve already given this guy more attention than he deserves.

SITREP: Islamic State [PODCAST]

February 20, 2015 by Daniel

[powerpress]

In this episode, I discuss the Islamic State and what to do about them.

SITREP- Islamic State

On religious intolerance, Voltaire said:

“Human law must in every case be based on natural law. All over the earth the great principle of both is: Do not unto others what you would that they do not unto you. Now, in virtue of this principle, one man cannot say to another: “Believe what I believe, and what thou canst not believe, or thou shalt perish.” Thus do men speak in Portugal, Spain, and Goa. In some other countries they are now content to say: “Believe, or I detest thee; believe, or I will do thee all the harm I can. Monster, thou sharest not my religion, and therefore hast no religion; thou shalt be a thing of horror to thy neighbours, thy city, and thy province.” … The supposed right of intolerance is absurd and barbaric.”

So, they cut off heads and they burn people alive. Heck, they’ll even throw you off the top of a building. They’re here, then there, almost everywhere. They are growing in numbers and they move quick. Obviously I’m talking about the Islamic State. But, right now there’s a lot of stuff being said about them. One person even said they are angry because they don’t have jobs? And I thought it was because they had a small Medulla Oblongata. Maybe I’m a little off here, but shouldn’t we be doing something about this?

You may not agree with my assessment, but this is a very complicated situation we find ourselves in, and there really is only one way I think to end it.
