Justice Ginsburg to Egyptian TV: ‘I would not look to the US Constitution’

February 4, 2012 by Daniel

Recently, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was on Al Hayat TV in Egypt saying, ‘I would not look to the US Constitution.’

What? A Supreme Court Justice would not look to the US Constitution as a model? Considering this is coming from Ginsburg, this shouldn’t be a surprise. She spent the majority of her career advocating for equal status for men and women. She also spent time as a volunteer lawyer for the ACLU. So, for her to say this, should not come as a surprise.
