Obama Apology for Koran Burning ‘Calmed Things Down’

March 1, 2012 by Daniel

When the story hit that a Koran was burned in Afghanistan by US troops, it was only a matter of time before Obama issued an apology. In fact, he was asked to explain his apology and in doing so said that it ‘calmed things down.’

The ignorance in this opinion shows his disconnect with American views. Admittedly, the Koran is viewed as a sacred work and should be treated in the same way. However, when materials are confiscated and contain confidential information that could be helpful to the enemy if given back; then by all means, it should be destroyed after all intelligence is extracted and recorded.

And that is exactly what happened in this case. The copy(s) of the Koran in question contained just that type of information. In times past, troops of many kinds have kept small copies of bibles or other religious texts and used them to record information. Just ask any POW and they will give firsthand account.

So, for Obama to issue an apology is ridiculous to say the least. Please, if you feel the same or feel this view is off point, share.
