JOHN BOEHNER: Beware Republican ‘False Prophets’

September 27, 2015 by Daniel

On Face the Nation, John Boehner, outgoing Speaker of the House, says to beware of republican ‘false prophets.’

Boehner said:

“You know, the Bible says beware of false prophets, and there are people out there spreading noise about how much can get done. I mean this whole idea that you are going to shutdown government to get rid of ObamaCare in 2013, This plan never had a chance.”

“We got groups here in town, members of the House and Senate here in town, who whip people into a frenzy believing they can accomplish things that they know — they know! — are never going to happen.”

This sparked the question from host John Dickerson if he was referring to Ted Cruz, to which Boehner referred to his “remark at the fundraiser [he] made in August in Steamboat Springs, CO,” where he was reported to have called Cruz a ‘jackass.’
