Shinseki Offers Resignation; Obama Accepts

The growing VA scandal has finally brought Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki to offer his resignation to Obama.

Obama made the announcement that he accepted the resignation Friday morning.

After they had a meeting,Obama said that “with considerable regret, I accepted.”

An internal review of the VA scandal proved that this was not limited to a few facilities.

Sloan Gibson, Deputy Secretary of Veteran Affairs, will be taking over as acting secretary.
