As the Iowa caucuses near, presures mount for some candidates.
But why is there so much pressure to perform in Iowa? It’s actually pretty simple. It isn’t just fly-over country, it represents middle America. Because of tradition, Iowa has long been the voice of the midwest.
Contained in the midwest, the majority of people are middle class Americans. They are less likely to be phased or troubled like those on the coast.
Does this mean that whoever wins Iowa is it? Not exactly. In 2008, Huckabee turned out and performed. This year, it is a toss up. It could be Mitt Romney or Ron Paul.
